Lakewood woman, Huong Ngo, 42, has been charged with cheating the Horseshoe Casino Cleveland out of $10,000, said Karen Huey, enforcement chief for the Ohio Casino Control Commission.

Ngo cheated at Four Card Poker, mostly by capping, or adding chips to bets. She saw she had winning hands, Huey said. Huey also said Ngo subtracted chips from losing hands, which is known as pinching.

The Lakewood resident was caught May 4 after a dealer alerted state agents assigned to the casino, Investigators reviewed 30 days of surveillance video and found evidence she was cheating on 12 different dates.

Ngo was indicted by a grand jury on Tuesday in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court on 12 counts of cheating a casino and one count of grand theft. It is the 80th cheating case that agents have investigated at Ohio’s four casinos, Huey said.
